Opening December 13, TELL Space will unveil The Key, a multifaceted exhibition showcasing the creative duality of Minneapolis-based artist Joshua McGarvey. As a visual artist, McGarvey’s practice explores themes of transformation and sustainability, exemplified by a limited-edition handbag collection crafted from recycled green screen fabric from his Posturing exhibition at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. These ten unique bags challenge conventional notions of waste and reinvention.

The exhibition will also highlight McGarvey’s work under Uselding Fridays, the brand he created to design clothing, bags, and other objects. A curated selection of reworked second-hand clothing pieces, video installations, and sculptures will be featured, further distinguishing McGarvey’s conceptual art practice from his explorations in functional design.
